The Best Mini Bernedoodle Breeder In Sugarcreek, Ohio

Ohio Puppy Paws is a family-run mini bernedoodle breeder serving sugarcreek, Ohio. Our Millersburg home has been the starting point for these puppies since 2011, and after all those years we still know each one by name and personality before it ever leaves us. Our parent dogs go through OFA and genetic testing before they are ever bred, because a healthy mother and father give your puppy the strongest possible start. Every puppy leaves with a 3-year health guarantee, which means you are not carrying the uncertainty of those early years alone. Lifetime breeder support is simply part of the deal, so the first chewed shoe or the question about adolescent training always has somewhere to land. Reserve a Puppy

Frequently Asked Questions About Mini Bernedoodle Puppies

What makes Ohio Puppy Paws different from other Mini Bernedoodle breeders in Sugarcreek?

We have been breeding from the same Millersburg property since 2011, which is long enough to know exactly which pairings produce the steady, affectionate Mini Bernedoodle temperament families hope for. Our parent dogs complete OFA and genetic testing before they are bred, and every puppy goes home with a 3-year health guarantee that covers the years when genetic issues would surface. On top of that, we match puppies to families rather than letting first come, first served decide who gets which personality.

How does the temperament-matching program work?

Our behavior assessment starts in the first weeks of life, when we watch how each Mini Bernedoodle puppy handles new sounds, new surfaces, handling, and the chaos of siblings. We document those traits as they develop, noting which puppies recover quickly from surprises and which ones seek out laps, then weigh that record against the household, schedule, and energy level you described in your application. The result is a puppy whose natural wiring already suits the home it is walking into.

What’s included with every Mini Bernedoodle puppy?

Every Mini Bernedoodle leaves us with a 3-year health guarantee, giving you real protection through the years that matter most. Our $399 starter kit covers the food your puppy is already eating, a collar and leash, grooming basics, and a training guide so the first weeks at home are organized instead of frantic. Free FaceTime check-ins keep you connected before pickup, and lifetime breeder support means we are still the people you text at year four.

What should Sugarcreek families know before getting a Mini Bernedoodle?

Sugarcreek sits in rolling Amish country where back roads, open pasture, and quiet evenings are part of daily life, and a Mini Bernedoodle thrives on exactly that mix of outdoor movement and close family time. Plan on roughly 45 minutes of real activity a day, whether that is a walk through the village or a romp in the yard, because a bored Bernedoodle invents its own entertainment. Their wavy coats need brushing a few times a week and a professional trim every couple of months, especially after muddy Ohio springs.

Is a Mini Bernedoodle a good fit for families in Sugarcreek?

For a town where neighbors chat on front porches and weekends involve festivals, farm stands, and visitors stopping through, the Mini Bernedoodle’s calm friendliness is a genuine asset rather than something to manage. At 25 to 45 pounds they are substantial enough for a farmhouse yard or a hike at nearby Dover Dam yet small enough for an in-town home with a modest lot. They are smart, people-focused dogs that settle beautifully once their exercise needs are met, which suits the rhythm of life around Sugarcreek well.

How far do families travel to pick up their Mini Bernedoodle from Ohio Puppy Paws?

Our puppies are raised in Millersburg, an easy drive from Sugarcreek, and families regularly come from across Ohio as well as Pennsylvania, Michigan, Indiana, and beyond to meet their puppy in person. For anyone whose schedule makes the trip difficult, we also arrange delivery to Sugarcreek and well outside it, so distance never has to decide whether the right puppy becomes yours.
