The Best Mini Bernedoodle Breeder In Dover, Ohio

Ohio Puppy Paws is a family-run mini bernedoodle breeder serving dover, Ohio. Our breeding program began in 2011 here in Millersburg, and after all these years we still know each dog by name, by habit, and by the particular way they greet us in the morning. Every Mini Bernedoodle we raise is brought up ethically inside our home, surrounded by footsteps and voices and ordinary household noise, so nothing about family life startles them later. We breed only from health-tested parents who have cleared OFA and genetic testing, because the soundness of a puppy starts long before that puppy is born. A 3-year health guarantee backs every puppy we place, giving you years of reassurance rather than a few short weeks of it.

When the timing is not quite right yet — a move on the horizon, a baby on the way, a summer that is already spoken for — our planned litters let you claim a spot early and bring a puppy home when your household is genuinely ready. Frequently Asked Questions About Mini Bernedoodle Puppies

What makes Ohio Puppy Paws different from other Mini Bernedoodle breeders in Dover?

We have been breeding from the same Millersburg home since 2011, which means our methods come from years of watching our own dogs grow up rather than from a manual. Every pairing we plan starts with OFA and genetic testing on the parents, and a 3-year health guarantee comes with every puppy we hand over. What families tend to remember most, though, is the matching process — we are the ones deciding which Mini Bernedoodle belongs in which home, and we take that responsibility seriously.

How does the temperament-matching program work?

We start watching each Mini Bernedoodle in the first weeks of life, noticing who charges toward a new sound and who hangs back to study it before deciding. Those observations get written down as the litter develops, so by the time a puppy is ready to leave we have a real record of its energy, confidence, and affection style instead of a guess. We then line that record up against your household — children, other pets, work schedules, how much yard you have — and recommend the puppy most likely to settle in happily.

What’s included with every Mini Bernedoodle puppy?

Every puppy leaves with a 3-year health guarantee, which covers the window when genetic concerns would realistically surface rather than ending after a quick first vet visit. Our $399 starter kit sends you home with food your puppy is already eating, a collar, a leash, grooming basics, and a training guide, so the first week is about bonding rather than scrambling to the store. Free FaceTime check-ins keep you connected before pickup, and lifetime breeder support means you can call us about a chewing phase at eight weeks or a diet question at eight years.

What should Dover families know before getting a Mini Bernedoodle?

Dover’s walkable neighborhoods, river trails, and easy access to Tuscarawas County parkland suit a Mini Bernedoodle beautifully, since this is a dog that wants a solid daily walk and a good romp rather than marathon-level exercise. Their wavy to curly coats do need real upkeep — brushing a few times a week at minimum and a professional groom roughly every eight to ten weeks keeps mats from forming behind the ears and legs. Start that brushing routine as a puppy and grooming becomes a quiet bonding habit instead of a wrestling match.

Is a Mini Bernedoodle a good fit for families in Dover?

Dover blends older in-town homes on modest lots with newer builds and farmsteads just past the city limits, and a Mini Bernedoodle’s smaller frame means they are comfortable in all three without needing acreage to burn off steam. The Bernese side brings a steady, affectionate nature that handles a busy household of kids, grandparents, and neighbors on the porch with remarkable patience. For a community where people still know each other at the ballfield and the farmers market, a dog this sociable and this eager to be included fits right in.

How far do families travel to pick up their Mini Bernedoodle from Ohio Puppy Paws?

We are based in Millersburg, and families regularly drive in from every corner of Ohio and from neighboring states because they want to see where their puppy was raised with their own eyes. Dover sits a comfortable drive away, which makes pickup an easy half-day outing. When travel does not work, delivery options are available for families in Dover and well beyond, so distance never has to be the thing that stands between you and the right Mini Bernedoodle.
