The Best Mini Bernedoodle Breeder In Lucas, Ohio

Ohio Puppy Paws is a family-run mini bernedoodle breeder serving lucas, Ohio. Our breeding program began in 2011 here in Millersburg, and more than a decade later every litter is still raised inside our home, underfoot and handled daily. Our puppies are ethically raised in that same family environment, which is why they arrive confident around children, noise, and ordinary household commotion. Both parents of every litter are health-tested before we ever plan a breeding, because the healthiest puppies start with careful decisions made long before birth. Every Mini Bernedoodle also comes with a 3-year health guarantee, giving you real reassurance through those first formative years. Reserve a Puppy

Frequently Asked Questions About Mini Bernedoodle Puppies

What makes Ohio Puppy Paws different from other Mini Bernedoodle breeders in Lucas?

We have been breeding from the same Millersburg property since 2011, which means we know these bloodlines personally rather than relying on someone else’s paperwork. Every parent dog goes through OFA and genetic testing before a litter is planned, and each puppy leaves here with a 3-year health guarantee that protects your family well past the puppy stage. We also take the time to match temperaments by hand, so you are not choosing a puppy from a photo and hoping it suits your household.

How does the temperament-matching program work?

We begin observing our puppies early, documenting their individual traits to ensure a thoughtful match with a family’s lifestyle and home environment. Those notes build week by week as we watch how each pup handles new sounds, strangers, handling, and play with siblings, giving us a clear picture of who is bold, who is gentle, and who needs a quieter landing spot. When your application details sit beside those observations, the right pairing usually becomes obvious to everyone involved.

What’s included with every Mini Bernedoodle puppy?

Every Mini Bernedoodle goes home with a 3-year health guarantee, the kind of coverage that lets you enjoy the puppy months instead of worrying through them. Our $399 starter kit covers the food your puppy is already eating, a collar and leash, grooming basics, and a training guide so the first weeks follow a plan rather than guesswork. Free FaceTime check-ins keep us connected before pickup, and lifetime breeder support means you can call us about a shedding question or a stubborn teenage phase years down the road.

What should Lucas families know before getting a Mini Bernedoodle?

Lucas sits in the rolling country near Mohican and the Clear Fork valley, which is ideal territory for a Mini Bernedoodle who would happily hike a trail with you on Saturday and nap by the door all afternoon. That wavy Bernese-and-Poodle coat needs brushing a few times a week and a professional groom roughly every two months, a rhythm worth budgeting for before the puppy arrives. Plan on real daily exercise too, because a bored Mini Bernedoodle will invent a hobby you did not choose for them.

Is a Mini Bernedoodle a good fit for families in Lucas?

Lucas, with its scenic beauty and community focus, offers a fantastic environment for a Mini Bernedoodle, who thrives on both outdoor adventures and family companionship. The breed’s steady, affectionate Bernese temperament handles village sidewalks, school pickups, and a yard full of kids without the reactivity you sometimes see in higher-strung dogs. Their smaller frame also suits the older farmhouses and modest-lot homes common around the Clear Fork area, where a giant dog would feel cramped but a Mini Bernedoodle settles right in.

How far do families travel to pick up their Mini Bernedoodle from Ohio Puppy Paws?

We are based in Millersburg, in the heart of Amish country, and families regularly drive in from every corner of Ohio as well as Pennsylvania, Michigan, Indiana, and beyond to meet their puppy in person. The trip from Lucas is a pleasant hour or so through back roads, and many families turn pickup day into an outing. If the drive does not work for your schedule, delivery options are available for families in Lucas and farther afield, so distance never has to decide which puppy is yours.
